Hi, my name is Amala from TD.
And I want to tell you how I keep track of my spending.
So I discovered these tips when I was in college. I realized that I had to worry about school. I had to worry about work, and I had to keep track of my spending in my account.
So, the first topic I want to talk to you about is keeping track of my balances.
I use balance alert.
Balance alert helps me because I get an email first thing every morning that tells me what my available balance is before I do any spending.
So if I'm looking for a bill or I want to go out and get something to eat, I have enough money in my account.
The second topic I want to talk to you about is writing things down on a calendar, because I am super busy, I write things down on a calendar. I write my estimate of what my bill is. So when I get paid, I know what comes out of my account and I know what I have to pay that day on my pay day.
The third topic I want to talk to you about is having a savings account. I have a savings account linked to my checking account. I put about 10, 20 dollars away from my paycheck, which goes into my savings account. So, if an unexpected expense comes in, my checking account makes my account negative. At least I know I have enough money for my savings account to cover that checking account.
In summary, I keep checking my spending by checking my balances.
Having a calendar and having a savings account which is linked to my checking account, which are tips that help me save.
I hope this will help you as much as it helps me.
