Changes starting on April 30, 2025:
Effective from the first day of your statement period beginning in April 2025 and reflected on your May 2025 statement:
- Your annual interest rates on Purchases will increase.
- For Residents of Quebec only - Your annual interest rates on Cash Advances will increase.
Starting on April 30, 2025:
- We will apply a Credit Balance Administration Fee if there is a credit Balance on your Account and there has been no credit or debit activity on your Account for 12 consecutive billing cycles.
- We will change the Cash Advance Transaction fee, including how and under what circumstances we charge it.
- We will decrease the Returned Payment fee.
If you’re a Cardholder, please continue to use your existing Card and the changes will take effect automatically on the dates indicated above or in the comparison charts below. There's nothing you need to do.
Here’s what stays the same for existing Cardholders:

For residents of Yukon and Nunavut. There’s no change to the annual interest rate that applies to your existing outstanding Balance posted to your April 2025 statement. All new Purchases after your April 2025 statement will be at the new annual interest rate.

Your Card number, PIN and credit limit will remain the same, and there will be no change to your statement date.

There’s no change to any regularly recurring bill payments set up on your Card (such as Internet or phone bills).

There’s no change to any automated payments that have been previously set up on your chequing or savings account to pay your Card balance.

There’s no change to the benefits and features included with your Card.

Annual Interest Rates on Purchases due to missed Payments
If we do not receive the full minimum payment by the Payment Due Date shown on your statement, or by your New Statement Date, twice within 12 consecutive statement periods, then we will increase the annual interest rates on the Account to the following higher interest rates:

Pay your full minimum payment amount by the Payment Due Date. To avoid increased interest rates due to missed credit card payments:
- You can ensure you never miss a payment by setting up pre-authorized debits from your bank account.
- Set up a calendar alert reminding you to make your payment by the Payment Due Date.

The following Credit Balance Administration Fee changes do not apply to Residents of Quebec.

A credit Balance will appear on your statement as a negative balance.
To avoid the Credit Balance Administration Fee, you can continue to use the Account or contact us to refund the credit Balance.
No, there is no action required. You can continue using your TD Credit Card as you do today, up to, and after April 30, 2025.
No, there will be no change to your credit card number or PIN number. They will remain the same.
There will be no change to your credit card number, and you don't need to update any existing pre-authorized debit (PAD) information.
Yes. There will be no change to the way you access your credit card account through EasyWeb® Online banking or the TD mobile app.
Yes, the Annual Interest Rate will increase from 19.99% to 21.99% for Purchases.
For Residents of Quebec, it will increase from 20.99% to 21.99% for Purchases
Yes, the Cash Advance Rate will increase from 20.99% to 21.99% for Cash Advances (including Balance Transfers and Cash Like Transactions).
The fee is being simplified to a 1% fee, or $3.50 minimum, to a maximum of $10.00. We are removing any additional PLUS* network ATM fees.
This fee is being reduced from $48.00 to $10.00.
The Credit Balance Administration Fee only applies if there is a credit Balance (i.e. negative statement balance) on your Account and there has been no credit or debit activity on your Account for 12 consecutive billing cycles. The fee is the lesser of $10.00 or the full credit Balance amount.
This fee is not applicable if your account balance is zero or greater.
